2023 Resident Survey

STRAIGHT FROM NEW YORKERS

CBC's NYC Resident Survey Gives Comprehensive View of Satisfaction with Core City Services, Quality of Life

The CBC 2023 Resident Survey provides important feedback, straight from New Yorkers, on the quality of life and government services in New York City.

It is the most comprehensive, statistically valid, post-pandemic view into how New Yorkers feel about the city, and the results can be compared to 2008 and 2017 surveys, which had very similar methodology and questions. The 2023 Survey results show: Ratings about the city overall dropped significantly in many areas from 2017. New Yorkers generally rate their neighborhoods higher than the city as a whole. The City leadership’s priorities align with New Yorkers’, including safety; housing; and clean streets, parks, and public spaces.
